Member of Technical Staff (MTS), NAND Cell Film

About the role

Micron is hiring a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in Process Development for Cell Film, based at Fab 10N/X. The role advances thin film process development for NAND memory technology by running experiments, characterizing materials and supporting process integration and fixing. It works with senior engineers and multi-functional teams to promote manufacturability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project-level initiatives focused on cell film process development.
• Run complex experiments and support process integration under the guidance of senior staff.
• Collaborate with various functions to enable technology transfer and process ramp-up.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and processes and write comprehensive technical reports.
• Mentor early-career staff and support continuous improvement and optimization of existing processes.
• Take part in multi-functional problem-solving teams and contribute to guidelines, SOPs and knowledge management systems.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in thin film research and development for NAND processes, specifically diffusion, CVD and cell films.
• Demonstrated multi-functional collaboration and project-level leadership.
• Technical publications or patents preferred.

Required skills

• Thin film deposition techniques such as ALD and CVD, including recipe setup, tuning and fixing.
• Metrology tools: ellipsometry, XRR, SEM, TEM, CD-SEM, thickness measurement and particle counters.
• Process integration, defect analysis, yield improvement, SPC, DOE and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge management systems, SOP development and compliance with safety and quality standards.
