MEMS Wafer Fab Metrology Engineer

About the role

HP is seeking a MEMS Wafer Fab Metrology Engineer to ensure accurate and stable measurement capability across its wafer fabrication lines. You will develop, sustain, and optimise metrology solutions that act as a critical quality gate for high‑yield production and new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and sustain POM metrology processes, handling daily operations, excursion management and rapid troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with equipment engineering to troubleshoot, qualify, calibrate and upgrade metrology tools such as Fogale and CyberOptics.
• Develop, transfer and qualify metrology recipes for new product introductions, conducting experiments and analysing results.
• Drive measurement system integrity through GR&R studies, correlation, tool matching and SPC/SPACE compliance.
• Support business continuity planning, N+1 capability development and recipe portability across tool platforms.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to enhance capability, cycle time and automation, working with process integration and worldwide teams.
• Partner with process, equipment, manufacturing and quality teams to align metrology requirements with production needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a semiconductor or MEMS wafer fab environment, preferably in metrology or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of metrology concepts such as GR&R, SPC, SPACE, correlation and data analysis.
