Merchant Acquisition Specialist (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Merchant Acquisition Specialist to lead the onboarding and partnership development of merchants across digital commerce and payment platforms. This 12‑month contract role will involve pitching, negotiating, and guiding merchants through integration while collaborating with internal teams to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Meet, pitch, and negotiate with assigned or prospective merchant leads to secure onboarding.
• Promote the organization’s offerings as the preferred partner for merchants.
• Build and maintain strong merchant relationships, monitoring performance and contribution.
• Oversee merchant activity and engagement throughout the onboarding journey.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activity to shape strategies.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all products and services offered.
• Handle daily merchant queries (commercial and operational) to ensure seamless onboarding and post‑onboarding processes.
• Collaborate with payments, advertising, and rewards teams to align strategies and create cross‑selling opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in Sales, Business Development, or a similar role with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Strong ability to establish and manage partnerships with diverse merchants.
• Solid understanding of market trends and the capacity to adapt strategies.
• Proven pitching and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Aptitude for analyzing sales data to inform decisions.

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from SGD 3,000 to SGD 3,600.
