Moulding Engineer (LSR Injection Moulding)

About the role

ResMed is looking for a Moulding Engineer in Singapore. The Moulding Engineering function applies advanced skills and knowledge of moulding engineering across process, equipment, facilities and documentation to meet current and future production volume, quality, OH&S and cost requirements. Key deliverables include process validation, scrap reduction and cost-saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and improve LSR moulding manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documentation while following OH&S guidelines.
• Support mould trials and qualification, and develop robust moulding processes.
• Reduce cycle time, moulding scrap and manufacturing cost, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Investigate moulding defects and customer complaints.
• Work with Production, Planning, Quality, SQE, PD, PLE, GSA and Marketing teams.
• Lead and manage multiple projects, influence and collaborate with other teams, and mentor or train junior engineers and technicians.
• Work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, using data-driven decision-making and risk analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, Chemical or related engineering.
• 5 to 10+ years of injection moulding experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in LSR moulding, multi-cavity mould processing, and medical, automotive or consumer product manufacturing in high-volume automated environments.
• Ability to work with global sites and strong leadership and mentoring capability.

Required skills

• LSR material handling, LSR moulding machine and dosing unit operation, and LSR process optimisation.
• Mold qualification and acceptance, tool design review, and defect troubleshooting and scrap reduction.
• Problem-solving methods such as DMAIC, cause and effect, and 5 Whys.
• Automation and robotic integration; reading mechanical drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2018).
• SPC (Cpk), hypothesis testing, DOE, PFMEA and control plans.
• Process validation (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ), ISO 13485, ISO and OSHA safety standards, and GMP requirements.
