MRDA Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring an MRDA engineer at its Fab 10A facility. The role focuses on solving yield and quality issues through measurement recipes, advanced analytics and defect detection, and works closely with engineering operations, application teams and tool suppliers to improve product quality and tool availability.

Key responsibilities

• Solve yield and quality problems by developing measurement recipes that give quick, accurate feedback on product integrity
• Use advanced analytics to identify and address deviations in machinery and processes
• Design experiments to find defect sources and formation mechanisms, supporting defectivity improvement projects
• Collaborate with engineers from different departments and with tool suppliers to implement breakthrough solutions
• Apply inspection tools for defect detection and set tool qualification criteria monitored by SPC charts
• Set control chart limits, use effective sampling and root cause analysis to catch process deviations early
• Optimize tool maintenance schedules with Engineering Operations and Application teams
• Run projects that improve inline detection, efficiency, cost, machine availability and reduce tool measurement variability
• Analyze data to support process changes, equipment availability and cost reduction, and train the engineering team on recipe maintenance, tool recovery, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels
• Growth mindset and ability to work flexible shifts, such as compress shifts
• Relevant experience preferred; internship or semiconductor industry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
