Senior/Staff AI Product Owner, SMAI

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Senior/Staff AI Product Owner for its Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions, applying automation, AI and generative AI methods to improve product development, business and administrative processes. The role reports to the SMAI organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and shape the strategic roadmap of yield smart manufacturing solutions (YMS applications) and work with users to capture and analyse information on the adoption of SMAI solutions.
• Identify gaps, weaknesses and inefficiencies in current solutions, including opportunities for AI-driven enhancements.
• Define business solutions and propose projects, working with fab engineers and data scientists to solve tactical yield issues using data science, AI and GenAI.
• Lead projects requiring coordination and management of resources from global teams, collaborating with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to design, execute and deliver smart manufacturing solutions.
• Use metrics and performance data to find improvement opportunities, including predictive analytics and intelligent decision support.
• Provide domain and system expertise, collaborating with data scientists on data analysis and early technology development, including yield ramp challenges using AI/ML models.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in Process Equipment Engineering (e.g. Dry Etch, CVD, PVD, Diffusion, Photo, CMP, Wet, Implant) or Process Integration Engineering (yield analysis, defect analysis, process integration).
• Proven experience leading and managing projects, with strong program and project management capabilities.
• Strong domain knowledge of fab processes and experience in yield improvement activities.
• Good understanding of early-stage technology development.
• Self-motivated, with excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration skills.
