MRO Manager – Drone Maintenance & Operations

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and technically competent MRO Manager to lead the maintenance, repair, overhaul and servicing of our drone fleet and related systems. The role ensures operational readiness while meeting safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and overhaul activities for drones, UAV systems, payloads, batteries, ground control stations and related equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Review technical fault reports, maintenance logs and service records, ensuring accurate diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, software and hardware issues.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, resource allocation and servicing timelines to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Supervise MRO technicians, engineers and maintenance personnel, establishing SOPs, inspection checklists and repair standards.
• Manage calibration, usage and upkeep of tools, testing equipment and workshop assets.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, QA and operations teams to resolve reliability issues and support root‑cause analysis.
• Control inventory of spare parts, consumables and repair components, overseeing procurement and stock traceability.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety, aviation, aerospace and cybersecurity regulations.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge in aerospace, UAV/drone systems or electronics maintenance.
• Proven experience managing maintenance operations and technical teams in a manufacturing or aviation‑related environment.
• Ability to supervise staff, develop procedures and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
