About the role
Micron Technology is looking for an NPI Technician to support New Product Introduction (NPI) execution activities at its MSB SSD site. The role ensures timely, safe and compliant execution of NPI builds, from lot release through test, by coordinating daily execution, tracking issues and supporting engineers, CEM, IPPC and manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily NPI lot execution across SSD and monitor lot status (WIP, holds, rework, conversion, disposition), highlighting risks to NPM, process, equipment and CEM.
- Assist in expediting NPI lots to meet MAD, MCD and customer commitment dates, and track build readiness (materials, tooling, DID, recipe, conversion).
- Track tool readiness, downtime, conversion issues, process abnormalities, yield issues and holds, and help prepare daily execution trackers, WIP lists and action logs.
- Escalate execution blockers promptly to responsible owners and coordinate with NPI/NPM engineers, assembly and equipment engineers, and CEM, IPPC and manufacturing teams, including shift handover information.
- Update NPI build information in Omelek, ATPEA, SAP and internal trackers, verify process flow, routing and disposition rules, and support basic reports and status updates for NPI reviews.
- Ensure NPI execution follows MSB SSD specifications, safety rules and cleanroom protocols, and support engineers during process deviations.
Required profile
- Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
- 0-3 years of experience in semiconductor assembly, manufacturing or operations support.
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations is an advantage; basic knowledge of NPI flows is preferred.
- Willingness to work shift-based or extended hours when NPI execution requires.
Required skills
- Strong execution focus and good communication and coordination across teams and shifts.
- Ability to track multiple lots and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with manufacturing systems and trackers such as SAP, dashboards and Excel.
