Network Engineer – IoT (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Network Engineer specialized in IoT to lead the design, implementation and management of telemetry systems across edge, network and cloud layers. The role is contract‑based and based in Singapore, working onsite with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority throughout the full implementation lifecycle of telemetry systems.
• Design and implement operational management architectures for sensor inventory tracking, automated calibration offsets and device state monitoring.
• Lead end‑to‑end builds of telemetry solutions covering edge devices, network connectivity and cloud integration.
• Develop bidirectional communication integrations with environmental telemetry platforms such as Campbell Scientific, Vaisala and LSI LASTEM.
• Implement edge‑side data buffering strategies to maintain resilience during network disruptions, including cellular drop‑outs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams and field technicians to ensure seamless deployment.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IoT network engineering and telemetry systems.
• Hands‑on expertise with bidirectional device communication and integration.
• Proficiency in low‑level scripting and data manipulation, including byte‑stream parsing, bitwise operations and endianness handling.
• Experience with MQTT clients or equivalent open IoT protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and system design capabilities.
