New Product Introduction (NPI) Planning Engineer

About the role

Micron, a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a New Product Introduction (NPI) Planning Engineer at its Fab 10N/X facility. The role coordinates the NPI programme timeline with engineering and manufacturing teams and works to improve product yield, line performance and product cycle time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the NPI programme timeline with the engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Work with engineering departments to improve overall product yield and line performance.
• Manage new part-type performance indices, analyse them, identify improvement opportunities and communicate them to achieve best-in-class product cycle time.
• Build analytical capability to improve NPI line efficiency through automation, interactive software and interfaces, and innovative products.
• Optimize site inventory management through analytic methodology and education.
• Align business processes, optimize scheduling logic, and set up leading production reports and indices.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, in line with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Identify, test and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope of work.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Required skills

• Data analytics, data visualization and data presentation using Microsoft, SQL or Python is a plus.
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, problem solving and operational tasks.
