About the role

The Nutrition & Food Science Kitchen Support Assistant ensures that the school’s food science laboratories and teaching kitchens run smoothly. You will be responsible for preparing workstations, maintaining equipment, and supporting practical lessons and examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all kitchen areas, appliances, and laboratory equipment.
• Set up kitchen tools, workstations, and appliances for practical lessons and exams.
• Purchase, prepare, and organise ingredients and raw materials required for classes.
• Manage kitchen inventory, track equipment, and maintain fixed assets.
• Perform general office and administrative duties during school holidays.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the school as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum primary school education; fluency in English preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a school kitchen setting.
