About the role

PwC’s Risk Services practice is offering an off‑cycle internship in Actuarial Services, focusing on benefits and insurance. The role runs from January to June 2027 and provides hands‑on experience in a global professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support a team of consultants in solving complex business problems for clients.
• Assist with data analysis, cash‑flow modelling and the use of proprietary actuarial software.
• Prepare research notes, presentations and reports for internal and client use.
• Collaborate with senior staff to translate technical findings into clear, client‑friendly language.
• Participate in training sessions to develop technical and consulting skills.

Required profile

• Enrolled in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Self‑driven learner with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curiosity to investigate data trends and communicate insights effectively.
• Ability to break down complex concepts into simple explanations for diverse audiences.
• Interest in applying quantitative methods within a business context.

Required skills

• Programming languages such as VBA, C++, Java or Python.
• Analytical software experience with R or SAS.
• Familiarity with cash‑flow modelling and actuarial software (proprietary tools).
