Operation Manager – Waste Management & Portable Toilet

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the daily activities of our Singapore office and depot, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality waste‑management and portable‑toilet services. This senior role combines fleet oversight, staff supervision, and process optimisation in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the office and depot, guaranteeing smooth and safe service delivery.
• Manage and supervise drivers and operational staff, handling work allocation, attendance, performance, training and discipline.
• Plan and coordinate daily truck and driver schedules to meet customer demand and KPI targets.
• Maintain the company’s truck fleet, including utilisation, maintenance, inspections and breakdown management.
• Conduct regular and random vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and equipment standards.
• Monitor depot facilities, equipment, chemicals and ensure proper storage and usage.
• Review and improve operational processes, systems and workflows to boost productivity.
• Track monthly and yearly operational KPIs, equipment utilisation and revenue, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns or service delays and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all services meet quality standards, including maintenance of portable and premium toilets.
• Provide coaching and training to staff to promote safe and efficient work practices.
• Handle on‑site technical, operational and customer issues.
• Prepare regular operational reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in waste management, sanitation, portable‑toilet or related industries.
• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within environmental services.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced operational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to be hands‑on and attend to on‑site operational issues when required.
