Operations Leader - Incoming Repair Scoping

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for an Operations Leader to manage incoming lean line operations, ensuring operational excellence, process optimization and timely delivery of high-quality repair services. The role reports to the Senior Operations Manager - Incoming Repair Scoping and leads cross-functional teams while driving continuous improvement and meeting safety, quality, productivity and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shop operations, workflow planning and resource allocation to meet incoming repair scoping schedules and customer expectations.
• Lead daily gemba and tiered management reviews against production, financial, TAT and SQDC targets.
• Partner with the Lean team to build and run incoming lean lines and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Work with downstream repair operations leaders and planning teams to align scoping output, material readiness, repair capacity and induction schedules.
• Own customer communication on scoping, delivery commitments, progress updates and escalations.
• Develop process improvements, standard work and best practices for incoming repair scoping lean lines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards, including internal policies and external regulations.
• Drive performance management, including goal setting, reviews, coaching and development planning.
• Lead, mentor and develop supervisors, technicians and support staff.
• Collaborate with AMRT, product and process engineers to optimize repair processes and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Monitor KPIs, run root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets, control costs and optimize resource use, and support business growth initiatives such as new repair technologies and capability expansion.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, repair operations, MRO or equivalent industrial operations.
• Proven experience leading production teams and delivering output, productivity and financial targets.
• Experience in gas turbine, aerospace, MRO or precision component repair preferred.
