Operations Manager – Ground Operations (Singapore)

About the role

FedEx is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its Ground Operations team at the South Pacific Hub in Singapore. The role involves overseeing all aspects of ground handling, ensuring shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop and manage a team of ground operations staff.
• Oversee daily ground operations to ensure shipments are picked, sorted and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as service quality, transit time, loss & damage and cost efficiency, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Plan and schedule resources, including rostering and short‑term resource forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Quality Driven Management principles.
• Manage the department budget and vendor relationships to optimise costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in logistics, express courier or transport industry.
• Valid Class 3/3A Singapore driving licence or ability to obtain one immediately.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
