Operations Technician

About the role

As an Operations Technician at Hydroleap, you will ensure the reliable day‑to‑day operation of our electrocoagulation and electro‑oxidation water‑treatment systems on client sites. You will work hands‑on with mechanical and electrical plant components, taking ownership of equipment performance and troubleshooting issues independently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain water/wastewater treatment plant equipment to guarantee continuous performance.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on pumps, valves, motors, sensors, filters/strainers, piping and control panels.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections and servicing.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support installation, commissioning and shutdown/turnaround activities.
• Handle chemical dosing equipment safely following site safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment readings and incident records.
• Supervise and coordinate on‑site contractors, ensuring safe and standard‑compliant work.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide occasional after‑hours or on‑call support.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Background in process plants, manufacturing, chemical or similar industrial environments; wastewater or water‑treatment experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to work independently in the field and take ownership of equipment reliability.
