Operations Technician

About the role

GSK's Singapore manufacturing team is looking for an Operations Technician. You will lead day-to-day production activities, coach operators and work with engineers and quality colleagues to ensure safe, compliant and reliable supply. Key responsibilities

• Perform day-shift production activities to meet safety, quality and output targets.
• Carry out set-ups, changeovers and handovers following correct procedures and documentation.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians and operators through on-the-job training and feedback.
• Inspect equipment, carry out basic maintenance and preventative tasks with hand tools, and work with engineers on complex fixes.
• Support investigations into operational issues, gather evidence and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Suggest and lead small improvement projects that increase efficiency, reduce waste or improve quality.
• Ensure batch records, logbooks and other documents are accurate and meet good documentation practice.
• Run effective shift handovers and team briefings, and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Work with engineering, quality and materials colleagues to resolve issues and maintain supply, and help lead readiness activities for campaigns, trials or new process transfers.

Required profile

• NITEC, ITE, Polytechnic diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production or technical trades.
• Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring team members in a production environment.
• Clear written and spoken English and strong record-keeping skills.
• Able to work full time on-site during the day shift and support handovers as required.
• Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated manufacturing; knowledge of good manufacturing practices; familiarity with materials handling equipment and inventory practices; interest in progressing into technical specialist, process support or supervisory roles.
