Painting Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

The Painting Supervisor will lead on‑site painting activities for construction projects, ensuring that all work meets quality, safety and schedule requirements. This junior‑level position reports to the site manager and coordinates a team of painters, blasters and scaffolders.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and method statements.
• Calculate paint quantities and manpower needs for each project.
• Assign tasks to painters, blasters and scaffolders and monitor attendance.
• Conduct quality control checks on surface preparation, primer, second coat, dry film thickness (DFT) and wet film thickness (WFT).
• Lead toolbox meetings, enforce PPE use and ensure compliance with MOM WSH safety regulations.
• Manage material requests, control wastage and verify batch numbers.

Required profile

• Junior executive level with experience in construction painting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Good communication skills for coordinating a diverse crew.
