Part-Time Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Part‑Time Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs at SYIP Café in Little India, Singapore. This position is ideal for fresh or entry‑level candidates eager to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and ingredient portioning.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
• Dispose of waste and keep rubbish disposal areas clean.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
