Part-time Lecturer – Academic Writing & Communication

About the role

We are looking for a part-time lecturer to deliver academic writing and communication skills courses at the Language and Communication Centre. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and support students in developing effective written and oral communication.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2-hour tutorial sessions on academic writing and communication.
• Prepare lesson materials and resources for each tutorial.
• Assess student assignments in line with established guidelines.
• Provide consultation hours for students seeking additional support.
• Collaborate with curriculum writers on course design and updates.
• Coordinate with administrative staff on scheduling and other operational matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Education, Literature or a related field.
• 2–3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
