Part-Time Lecturer – Singapore Sign Language (SOH)

About the role

NTU is seeking a part‑time lecturer to deliver Singapore Sign Language (SOH) electives at beginner and intermediate levels. The role involves classroom instruction, curriculum development, and the integration of technology into language teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Teach SG Sign Language courses to undergraduate students.
• Design and update curriculum materials for beginner and intermediate modules.
• Incorporate IT tools and multimedia resources to enhance learning outcomes.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in any discipline or at least a Bachelor’s degree.
• Native Deaf or Hard of Hearing individual with high proficiency in Singapore Sign Language.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in higher education.
• Experience in curriculum design and familiarity with multimedia course materials.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Singapore Sign Language.
• Use of IT tools for language instruction.
• Creation and management of multimedia teaching resources.
