Patient Service Associate, Clinic (Contract)

About the role

The National University Health System (NUHS) is hiring a Patient Service Associate for its Specialist Outpatient Clinic on a 1-year contract. The role supports patients and doctors in the clinic, covering registration, appointment coordination, billing and patient preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients for visits to the Specialist Outpatient Clinic
• Schedule appointments and help patients coordinate multiple appointments
• Handle billing processes, including payment collection, managing cash float and encouraging patients to sign up for cashless payment
• Provide financial counselling, explain charges and guide patients through available finance schemes
• Assist doctors during consultations, such as chaperoning and translation
• Prepare patients for physical examination and measure their height and weight
• Support doctors in teleconsultation, including equipment setup and coordinating with patients

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O Level
• Preferably 1 year of experience in customer-related or front-desk service; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with staff at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and a strong passion for serving patients

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computers

Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract.
