Patient Service Associate (Specialist Outpatient Clinics)

About the role

JurongHealth Campus, part of the National University Health System (NUHS), is looking for Patient Service Associates to deliver excellent service to patients visiting its Specialist Outpatient Clinics. The role covers appointment handling, billing support, patient preparation and assisting doctors during consultations.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients for visits to the Specialist Outpatient Clinic
• Schedule appointments and help patients coordinate multiple appointments
• Handle billing processes, including payment collection, managing cash float and encouraging patients to sign up for cashless payment
• Provide financial counselling, explain charges and help patients with available finance schemes
• Assist doctors during consultations, such as chaperoning and translation
• Prepare patients for physical examination and take their height and weight
• Support doctors in teleconsultation, such as setting up equipment and coordinating with patients

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O Level
• Preferably 1 year of experience in customer-related or front desk service; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with all levels of staff
• Strong organisational skills and a strong passion for serving patients

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computers

Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year or 2-year contract.
