Payroll Associate

About the role

PwC's Corporate Secretarial, Accounting and Payroll (CSS) unit offers practical assistance to clients in corporate secretarial, accounting and payroll matters, helping them meet statutory compliance requirements. As a Payroll Associate, you will support the payroll function within this unit.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external clients and the payroll vendor to provide accurate, complete and timely payroll information.
• Ensure returns on employees' remuneration and notifications of non-citizen employees' cessation of employment or departure from Singapore are reported to IRAS within the required timelines.
• Advise on and decide on complex payroll cases within service standards while safeguarding the confidentiality of payroll data.
• Assist in streamlining and re-engineering business processes to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of solid work experience in a payroll environment; candidates from an outsourced payroll background are favoured.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and handle confidential information sensitively.
• Team player with good attitude and interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proven experience using payroll software.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting, legislation, taxes and withholding tax.
