People Business Partner – APJ (6‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The People Business Partner – APJ supports Dataiku’s rapid growth across the Asia‑Pacific region. Working closely with business leaders, you will align HR strategies with business objectives, enhance employee experience, and drive talent initiatives across multiple markets and time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders across assigned APJ markets to understand objectives, challenges and talent needs; provide strategic and tactical HR guidance and support the implementation of people strategies.
• Partner with leaders to assess organisational needs and contribute to development initiatives that improve team effectiveness.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee‑relations matters, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and escalating to local specialists when required.
• Drive performance‑management processes, including goal‑setting, performance reviews and development planning.
• Support leaders through organisational change initiatives, ensuring smooth and compliant transitions for employees.
• Provide HR analytics and reporting to track key indicators across the APJ portfolio and inform leadership decisions.
• Maintain consistent, timely People Business Partner coverage across markets and time zones, building trust despite limited local presence.
• Act as the primary point of contact for leaders on general HR matters, policy interpretation and escalations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a People Business Partner operating across more than one APJ market.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and awareness of employment‑law variations across APJ markets.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into effective HR strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships remotely and across cultures.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and competing priorities across markets and time zones with limited local support.
