People Operations Specialist

About the role

Wise, a global technology company that helps people and businesses move and manage money, is looking for a People Operations Specialist in Singapore. The role covers onboarding and offboarding support, employee queries, immigration and payroll support, and contributes to local and global cross-team projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the administrative onboarding process, coordinate adaptable onboarding plans with hiring leads, handle relocation logistics and documentation, and run local onboarding sessions
• Respond to employee queries efficiently, guide employees on leave policies, and manage internal transfers and relocation requests
• Process Workday actions and ensure operational onboarding and offboarding steps are completed with Workplace, UT and People Services teams
• Oversee immigration processes, maintain team content on Confluence, and support the Payroll team with documentation
• Handle last-day administration for leaving and relocating employees
• Review and respond to audit requests, keep processes aligned with local employment laws, and mentor and cross-train junior team members
• Contribute to local and global cross-team projects and initiatives, and take on tasks beyond the formal job description

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in a Shared Services environment and/or a People team
• Previous and demonstrable experience in an HR or Shared Services role
• Early-stage knowledge of Singapore employment law; knowledge of other APAC jurisdictions is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages are a plus
• Detail-oriented, able to handle confidential information professionally, and able to manage time by prioritising tasks
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment and keen to use data to improve processes
