Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Senior HR Business Partner in Singapore. The role shapes HR strategy and culture for a business unit, works closely with executive leadership and partners with COE and HR Ops, and involves complex, high-risk environments with large scope.

Key responsibilities

• Shape HR BU/Function strategies and priorities to align with business strategy and changing needs, and help define the appropriate culture
• Diagnose and intervene to optimise business and function performance against strategy goals
• Run organisational and talent assessments, build talent strategy and pipelines (selection, assessment, development, succession)
• Design and run change management, communication and engagement strategies within the BU/Function
• Coach, develop and influence executive leadership
• Work with COE and HR Ops on annual HR programmes and processes, and partner on specialised initiatives
• Use tools such as Workforce Dashboard and Workday to run analytics supporting business strategy
• Lead M&A diligence and integration from the HR perspective, partnering with the M&A team and regional HR
• Take a leadership role on at least one enterprise-wide initiative each year

Required profile

• Recognised as a guru or external expert in a function, with broad expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and technologies
• Influences internal and external business and regulatory issues
• Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams and provides thought leadership
• Solves complex problems proactively and negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors

The position is full-time, with no travel and no relocation eligibility.
