Pharmaceutical Engineer – CQV (Contract)

About the role

The role is responsible for ensuring that Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) activities are executed in line with the C&Q Execution Plan for pharmaceutical facilities in Tuas, Singapore. The engineer will develop strategies, lead execution efforts and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute CQV activities according to the Commissioning and Qualification Execution Plan and supporting documents.
• Develop and implement strategies and procedures that support the execution scope.
• Lead overall planning and execution of commissioning for allocated areas or systems.
• Coordinate C&Q scheduling with engineering, operations, HSE, automation, electrical, instrumentation and other disciplines.
• Guide preparation of C&Q documentation to ensure correctness and completeness.
• Lead vendor coordination meetings, procurement and start‑up activities.
• Report C&Q status, progress and issues in project stakeholder meetings.
• Review and approve CQV test scripts and manage discrepancies.
• Track deficiencies, plan and execute remediation actions.
• Control changes to ensure cost, schedule and compliance are assessed.
• Ensure field execution complies with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on CQV execution experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Familiarity with Risk‑Based Validation methodologies.
• Knowledge of ATEX, process safety and pharmaceutical engineering standards.
