Planning Engineer - Operations Modelling

About the role

Micron is hiring a Planning Engineer focused on operations modelling. The role applies industrial engineering concepts to forecasting models covering facility bulk utility usage and other fab metrics, and coordinates modelling work across departments and global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop forecasting models for facility bulk utility usage and other fab metrics to meet fab operation requirements.
• Manage and coordinate modelling work across departments and global sites, identifying improvements and actionable items.
• Analyse the impact of scenario changes on metrics and communicate impacts and risks to upper management and stakeholders.
• Work on improvement projects, such as using available automation tools to drive productivity.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work, and share AI-enabled enhancements within your scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset with stakeholders.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of coding/programming.
• Industrial engineering concepts and logic.
