Porter (Patient Transport) – Full‑time Afternoon Shift

About the role

The Porter supports the safe and efficient movement of patients within the National University Hospital. Working on a fixed afternoon shift, you will assist ward staff in transporting patients to and from wards, clinics, and ambulances.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with transporting and transferring patients using wheelchairs, beds, or trolleys under the supervision of ward staff.
• Receive and transfer patients arriving by ambulance, ensuring smooth hand‑over to clinical teams.
• Move patients to appropriate wards or clinics for treatment and examinations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior, such as basic documentation on a hand‑held device.

Required profile

• Ability to speak, read and write simple English.
• Physical fitness for lifting, walking, pushing and handling equipment.
• No visible tattoos.
• Commitment to a fixed afternoon shift (starting from 12 pm).
• Singaporean, Permanent Resident or LTVP holder, aged up to 60 years.
• Minimum education: Primary/Secondary school, O‑Level, Higher Secondary/Pre‑U/A‑Level, Professional Certificate or NITEC.

Required skills

• Basic operation of a hand‑held device (e.g., smartphone) for task logging.
