Portfolio Manager - Singapore

About the role

Caxton Associates, a global trading and investment firm founded in 1983 with offices in London, New York, Singapore, Monaco, Dubai and Bengaluru, manages client and proprietary capital through hedge fund disciplines. It is seeking experienced Portfolio Managers across a range of strategies, including discretionary macro emerging markets, macro equity, long/short event-driven fixed income, relative value, medium-frequency systematic commodities and others. You will manage a significant capital allocation, implement rigorous risk management and contribute to a collaborative, research-driven environment focused on generating alpha.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a significant capital allocation by creating, executing and monitoring an alpha-driven investment strategy.
• Construct portfolios designed to generate asymmetric returns with minimal correlation to traditional capital markets.
• Implement robust risk management, continuously assessing the merits of all positions and investment theses.
• Collaborate within a global team, sharing insights on global macroeconomic trends, geopolitical developments and market evolution.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and internal risk controls.

Required profile

• Proven track record in portfolio management, with a Sharpe Ratio greater than 1.5.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing capital, preferably within a hedge fund.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative global team and to learn alongside other investors.
• Commitment to the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
• Strong decision-making ability, capable of performing under pressure and adapting to changing market conditions.
