PR & Communications Director – APAC

About the role

The Trade Desk is seeking a strategic communications leader to set and execute the PR strategy for the APAC region, covering Australia, India and Southeast Asia. The role will elevate the company’s profile through compelling storytelling, media engagement and high‑impact external events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop strategic PR plans across Australia, India and Southeast Asia, building awareness of The Trade Desk and articulating the company’s vision and value.
• Drive proactive media coverage in major trade publications and national business press, leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new ones.
• Prepare and support executives for media interviews, speaking engagements and thought‑leadership opportunities.
• Manage external PR agencies to align on high‑priority initiatives and maintain an effective press calendar.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to coordinate executive communications, key events, product launches and press interviews.

Required profile

• 12+ years of PR and communications experience, preferably in B2B technology or digital media.
• Proven track record of shaping and leading multi‑market communications programs at scale across Australia, India and Southeast Asia.
• Strong media‑relations skills with a network of journalists in business and trade press.
• Excellent executive‑presence, able to advise, brief and influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to connect tactical execution to broader strategic goals.
