Primary Specialist Teacher – Physical & Health Education

About the role

We are seeking a Primary Specialist Teacher to lead Physical and Health Education (PHE) for early years and lower primary classes at Nexus International School. The role focuses on delivering tailored movement programmes that support foundational physical development and foster lifelong, self‑regulated learners.

Key responsibilities

• Build learning‑focused relationships and empower children to become independent learners.
• Plan and deliver clear, inquiry‑based PHE lessons using assessment data to guide progression.
• Utilise formative and summative assessment tools, providing high‑quality scaffolding and feedback.
• Encourage student reflection and co‑construction of learning pathways.
• Engage parents through learner‑led conferences and regular dialogue.
• Integrate ICT to enhance learning and solve real‑world problems.
• Participate in whole‑school events and lead after‑school sports teams and co‑curricular programmes.

Required profile

• Relevant degree and teaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience teaching diverse learners, preferably in an international school setting.
• Background in Early Years Physical and Health Education (preferred).
• Familiarity with the relevant curriculum.
