Principal Cyber & IT Security Engineer

About the role

The organization is seeking a Principal Cyber & IT Security Engineer to ensure that all IT systems and applications meet business needs while complying with security best‑practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. You will lead the design, deployment, and operationalisation of core security tools across multiple domains.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and operationalise security solutions such as EDR, PAM, SIEM, and IPS/IDS.
• Lead implementation of security technologies across endpoint, server, network, and web‑application environments.
• Collaborate with Cloud Security teams and manage security programmes to enforce policies, standards, SOPs, and processes.
• Analyse existing infrastructures, provide recommendations, and ensure firewall, IDS/IPS, and proxy solutions are maintained.
• Mentor, train, and advise colleagues while maintaining up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in large‑scale IT environments, with at least 5 years in information security and risk management within the past 6 years.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS, GSEC) are preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
