Principal Engineer, Module Engineering

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring a Principal Engineer for its module engineering team in Woodlands, Singapore. The role combines process and equipment engineering to support production ramp-up through process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release, and can be performed as an individual contributor or as a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support production ramp-up through process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release
• Create, analyse and review technical charts and data such as SPC, DOE, split lot, Space, Si-view, JMP and Klarity
• Match processes between equipment to reduce variation and improve tool matching
• Identify chronic issues and set up improvement programmes and procedures
• Work with cross-functional teams on yield improvement, excursions and best practices across fabs
• Run continuous improvement plans to raise performance indices and optimise productivity
• Carry out all work safely and in line with environmental, health, safety and security requirements
• Collaborate on other projects and assignments as needed

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in equipment engineering and maintenance
• Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Strong knowledge and experience in parts repair

Required skills

• Engineering methods for equipment controls and OEE improvement
• Familiarity with AMAT Etcher, Omega, P5K or TEL equipment is preferred
