Principal Manager – SkillsFuture Credits

About the role

The Principal Manager for SkillsFuture Credits leads a team of managers within the Incentives Management Division (IMD) of SWDA. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the role oversees the operational delivery of SkillsFuture Credit programmes and related funding initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Align operational processes with technology systems and SWDA’s strategic funding policies.
• Develop, review and translate operational policies into actionable guides for programme implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness while ensuring compliance.
• Design end‑to‑end customer journeys, identify service gaps and create value‑adding touchpoints.
• Streamline appeal processes, manage escalated enquiries and audit queries related to grant administration.
• Implement and monitor service standards against established frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver shared services and manage system development requests.
• Coordinate with vendors, develop workflows, and monitor performance of outsourced service providers.
• Analyse performance data, report on KPIs and SLA indicators, and provide actionable insights.
• Identify operational risks, devise mitigation measures and enforce control mechanisms.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience supervising managers in a government or public‑sector environment.
• Strong background in grant or funding programme operations and policy implementation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational processes.
• Analytical mindset with experience in performance monitoring and risk assessment.
