Principal / Senior Engineer (Communications Systems)

About the role

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore is recruiting a Principal / Senior Engineer for its communications systems team. You will join the team responsible for the project management and maintenance of 24/7 mission-critical communications systems, delivering and maintaining them in line with international standards such as those of the ICAO and ITU.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 24/7 mission-critical communications systems
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Enhance the software and hardware of existing communications systems
• Manage contracts for operations and maintenance, system enhancements and new projects
• Evaluate emerging technologies for use in existing or new systems
• Carry out ICAO activities related to communications and other aeronautical systems

Required profile

• Strong systems, network and cybersecurity background preferred
• Keen interest in radiocommunication technologies and international regulations
• Self-motivated team player able to work effectively across all organisational levels
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills
• Able to coordinate, organise, prioritise and multi-task
