Private Bank and Wealth Management Summer Internship 2027

About the role

Barclays is running a 10-week summer internship programme for its Private Bank and Wealth Management division in Singapore. The intern takes part in day-to-day activities of the division, working with mentors and a line manager on real projects that give a broad view of the business. The programme runs during the summer of the penultimate year of university, and top-performing eligible interns may be invited to join as full-time Private Banking Analysts after graduation.

Key responsibilities

• Run small research projects and prepare presentations and reports to support strategic decisions
• Work with high-net-worth clients and their advisors on complex banking and investment needs, and support business initiatives with cross-functional teams
• Take part in training and development programmes
• Help identify opportunities, develop business cases and manage the launch of new products and services
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service, answering product questions and processing transactions under steadily decreasing supervision
• Develop and run financial models and strategies used in decision making
• Train and mentor junior colleagues

Required profile

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with expected completion between December 2027 and June 2028
• Ideally a GPA of 3.2 or above and a keen interest in business and finance
• Resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, shown for example through extracurricular activities
• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding a Barclays-sponsored visa or needing sponsorship must declare this
