Private Bank Client Onboarding Manager

About the role

The Private Bank Client Onboarding Manager will lead the onboarding, periodic review and triggering event processes for high‑net‑worth clients in Singapore. This role ensures compliance with MAS Notice 626 and related AML/CFT regulations while supporting Relationship Managers in delivering a seamless client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new account openings, periodic reviews and triggering events.
• Analyse and corroborate Source of Wealth (SoW) evidence, validating the legitimacy of clients' accumulated wealth.
• Review client documentation, identify complex ownership structures and assess legal arrangements of corporate entities.
• Provide guidance to Relationship Managers on SoW documentation and liaise with the Compliance team to ensure quality submissions.
• Perform transaction look‑backs to verify fund origins and purposes, flagging inconsistencies with client profiles.
• Review name‑screening assessments, determine false positives, and deliver independent materiality assessments.
• Execute monthly quality‑assurance testing of the end‑to‑end onboarding process, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.
• Prepare management reports for internal meetings and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of AML, CFT, KYC and MAS regulatory requirements.
• Experience in private banking or wealth management client onboarding.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex ownership structures.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with Relationship Managers and Compliance.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and process improvement.
