Private Banker, International Partners Team - Assistant Vice President

About the role

Barclays is recruiting an Assistant Vice President Private Banker for its International Partners Team in Singapore. The role delivers strong sales and business performance by building, developing and maintaining proactive, long-term client relationships, while protecting Barclays' reputation through sound risk decisions within the client's risk profile and the regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients, identifying solutions that meet a wide range of client needs
• Understand each client's strategy through regular proactive contact, respond to queries and requests, and spot opportunities for long-term commercial reward
• Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid undue exposure to Barclays
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays policies and standards
• Refer clients to group colleagues and advise and influence decision-making, contributing to policy development
• Lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance and determine reward outcomes, applying the LEAD leadership behaviours (Listen, Energise, Align, Develop)
• Consult on complex issues, mitigate risk, develop new policies and procedures, and engage in complex data analysis to solve problems

Required profile

• CACS 1 and 2 certification
• Experience covering UHNW individuals, family offices and institutional investors across Asia and/or Europe
• Proven track record in raising new capital, growing AUM and maintaining long-term investor relationships
• Solid knowledge of private markets, alternative investments, multi-asset strategies and cross-border investment solutions
• Ability to partner with portfolio management, investment and advisory teams
• Business development, investor relations and client servicing skills, with relevant regulatory qualifications or willingness to complete required licensing
