Probe Manufacturing Shift Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a Probe Manufacturing Shift Engineer in Fab 10N/X. The role leads shift technicians and contractors to meet operational objectives, calls out production line issues, ensures safety and quality compliance, and explores AI approaches to improve productivity and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage shift technicians and contractors to achieve operational objectives.
• Identify and call out production line issues that block the team from meeting targets.
• Ensure adequate training and compliance with SOPs to eliminate safety and quality risks.
• Analyze data and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Work closely with production and process stakeholders to support strategic business goals.
• Establish and review SOPs so they stay relevant and optimized.
• Explore and develop an agentic AI approach to improve productivity and protect quality, integrating AI tools into daily work while complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Evaluate, promote and plan the deployment of new equipment and materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work a permanent 12-hour day/night shift schedule as assigned by the supervisor.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, such as through academic projects, internships or extracurricular activities.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why analysis and PFMEA.
• Able to work in a clean room environment.
• PROBE internship experience in a semiconductor company and interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron are preferred.

• AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis and operational tasks.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
