Probe Process Technician

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Probe Process Technician for its Probe Process team, which supports the manufacturing processes that keep production running safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The team maintains process stability across probe operations, covering process monitoring, quality checks, inventory tracking and production readiness. The role is shift-based and involves working closely with Process Engineers, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering and Quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health and performance of probe process and quality metrics across daily production.
• Respond to process deviations and quality excursions, perform initial problem solving and escalate to Process Engineers when needed.
• Collect and analyse production data to support fixes, process qualifications and continuous improvement.
• Complete process qualifications, evaluations and production releases according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Manage production holds, lot tracking and material disposition, keeping records traceable.
• Support new product introductions, process handovers and shift handovers.
• Take part in quality, efficiency, operational performance and cost improvement projects, and update SOPs based on shift experience.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality, and share AI-enabled improvements with the team.

Required profile

• Diploma, Higher NITEC or equivalent working experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred; probe or test experience is valuable.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, work instructions and process specifications accurately.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and on rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Clear communication skills for shift handover and documentation, and a strong learning approach and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Basic data analysis skills such as Excel, SQL or Tableau are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good judgment under production pressure.
