Probe Shift Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Probe Shift Equipment Engineer to lead a team of shift equipment technicians. The engineer ensures that equipment schedules, production standards and operational costs are met, so that department goals are achieved. The role covers team leadership, performance feedback, training support and strong communication with peers, customers, reports and management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage shift equipment technicians to achieve operation objectives.
• Ensure adequate training and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to eliminate safety and quality risks.
• Analyze data and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain close communication and collaboration with production and process stakeholders.
• Establish and review SOPs so they stay relevant and optimized for operations.
• Evaluate, promote and plan new equipment and materials.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness, in line with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through academic projects, internships or extracurricular activities, with the ability to build an effective team.
• Proven problem-solving skills, including 8D, 5 Why analysis and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• PROBE internship experience within a semiconductor company.
• Experience on projects aligned with the duties of this position; interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

• AI literacy: applying baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving and operational tasks.
