Probe Software & Analytics Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for a self-motivated engineer to work on its Probe operations. The role gives a broad view of how Probe runs and expects you to find opportunities for operations and process improvement through data analytics, then drive their implementation through better business processes and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance Probe's ability to report, monitor and flag production issues in real time using Tableau and custom software.
• Build software solutions for Engineering and Production teams that shorten issue resolution turnaround time.
• Write code to automate material tracking, product disposition and validation.
• Work with the worldwide Probe community on impactful projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset, leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills, regardless of language.
• Preferred: Perl, Linux, SQL and Tableau.
• A plus: courses in computer science/engineering, machine learning and programming; internship or semiconductor industry experience.
