Process Control Engineer (PCS SPC/R2R)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Process Control Engineer (QEM PCS SPC/R2R) at its Fab 10 facility. As a Process Control Specialist (PCS) you will build advanced process control, automation and analytics solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and yields, and gain exposure to many process areas of the fab. The PCS team develops smart-manufacturing applications that integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with process teams to develop, implement and improve advanced control solutions for optimal manufacturing performance.
• Create manufacturing and business process automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Use manufacturing process data with statistical analysis or machine learning to identify problems and turn them into control and automation solutions.
• Work with a global team to maintain, align and improve process control applications.
• Develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work, and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset and interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Programming knowledge in R or Python is a plus.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
