Process Engineer – Biopharma Project

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our biopharma project team in Singapore. Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will manage process challenges from concept through design, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process systems from conceptual design through detailed design, construction, commissioning and final handover.
• Develop and progress design deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, datasheets and functional descriptions.
• Perform engineering calculations including equipment sizing, pressure loss, heat & mass balances and capacity assessments.
• Participate in design reviews with clients and internal stakeholders to align technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare tender specifications, evaluate bids and support subcontractor selection.
• Review and approve technical submittals and subcontractor designs, ensuring interface compliance.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning activities, define acceptance criteria and close punch lists.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and subcontractor performance, reviewing variations and claims.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including test packs, as‑built drawings and handover manuals.
• Act as Work Package Owner, managing assigned packages end‑to‑end while promoting safe work practices.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical or Bio‑Engineering with a focus on biotech process or clean utilities.
• 2‑4 years of experience as a process engineer in mission‑critical facilities.
• First‑hand experience in construction, commissioning or qualification is an asset.
• Knowledge of line‑sizing simulation tools, engineering codes or construction practices is considered an asset.
