Process Engineer – Chemical Plant (West)

About the role

We are seeking a junior Process Engineer to join a well‑established chemical plant in the West region of Singapore. The role focuses on analysing existing processes, driving digitalisation through SCADA, and supporting plant shutdown planning.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate current processes, collect measurements and interpret data, including SCADA system operations.
• Perform risk assessments and conduct PSM and HAZOP studies.
• Research, design and develop process improvements to boost productivity and workflow.
• Oversee operations, maintenance and the implementation of new procedures.
• Investigate and troubleshoot process‑related issues, developing best‑practice solutions.
• Prepare process documentation, operating instructions and manage cost‑time constraints.
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns as a turn‑key manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in the process industry.
• Strong knowledge of process standards, improvement techniques and safety management.
• Team‑oriented, dynamic and able to work independently.

Required skills

• SCADA system operations.
• Process Safety Management (PSM).
• HAZOP study methodology.
