Process Engineer (Thin Film/CVD/PVD/CMP)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring a Senior / Associate Engineer Process Engineer (Thin Film/CVD/PVD/CMP) in Woodlands, Singapore. The role supports production ramp through process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release, and can be performed as an individual contributor or as a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support production ramp by process qualification, productivity improvement and tool release
• Create, analyse and review technical charts and data such as SPC, DOE, split lot, Space, Si-view, JMP and Klarity
• Match processes between equipment to reduce variation and improve tool matching
• Identify chronic issues and set up improvement programmes and procedures
• Work with cross-functional teams on yield improvement, excursions and best practices across fabs
• Drive continuous improvement plans to raise performance indices and optimise productivity
• Carry out all work safely and in line with Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements

Required profile

• Diploma / ITE Hi-Nitec (Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical)
• At least 2 years of experience in an electronic production environment, preferably in a wafer fab, with basic equipment and process knowledge and attention to detail
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
