Process & Equipment Engineer - Fab Support

About the role

Micron is hiring a Process & Equipment Engineer for Fab Support at its Fab 10N/X site. The engineer sustains and maintains critical fab support systems such as vacuum pumps, point-of-use scrubbers and chillers/heat exchangers to keep manufacturing stable, leads a team of technicians providing compressed shift coverage for production lines, and drives process capability upgrades, cost reduction and reliability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Sustain and maintain fab support tools: vacuum pumps, point-of-use scrubbers and chillers/heat exchangers.
• Lead a team of technicians for compressed shift coverage of manufacturing lines.
• Establish and improve process conditions, interlocks and safety systems for support and main tools.
• Upgrade process capability and reduce production costs, while controlling department spending on daily operations.
• Manage process management projects using control and monitoring systems such as RMS and SCADA.
• Evaluate, introduce and support new OEM equipment and materials, and perform abnormal analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, in line with organizational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills, and effective communication across all levels.
• Growth mindset and demonstrated leadership with a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments and engineering statistical data analysis is advantageous.
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy.
