Procurement Engineer – Semiconductor Industry

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will ensure timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services needed for semiconductor projects, ranging from software and technical hardware to mechanical components and assemblies. You will work closely with engineering and project teams to align sourcing activities with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical, quality, cost and capacity criteria.
• Manage daily supplier communications, request and assess quotations, and negotiate pricing, lead times and contractual terms.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier data, lead‑time information and delivery commitments in internal systems.
• Interpret technical specifications to verify that procured items meet project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal procurement policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and other departments to support project timelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of procurement experience with complex hardware, preferably in the semiconductor sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical components and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with international sourcing, logistics and Incoterms.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO and QMS.
